In this episode of Rumors of Doing Good, Rob Schellert talks with Minori Sueyoshi, a skateboarder from Fukuoka, Japan, whose story is one of faith, friendship, and finding purpose on four small wheels.
For over a decade, Minori has experienced how skateboarding can be more than sport — it can be a space where people feel seen, accepted, and loved. His journey reflects the quiet ways God meets us in ordinary passions and turns them into pathways for connection and transformation.
Through falls and breakthroughs, Minori has learned what it means to live his faith in motion — creating safe spaces where others can show up as their true selves and discover belonging.

About Minori:
Minori is a skateboarder and aircraft engineer from Fukuoka, Japan. By day, he works on fixing planes; by night, he’s often found at the skatepark, connecting with friends and living out his faith on four wheels.
Skateboarding has been part of Minori’s life for over a decade — not just as a sport, but as a way God has shaped his story. Loved and carried by God even before he believed, Minori encountered Jesus through a community where he felt safe to be his real self. That experience of unconditional love set him free and gave him a deep desire to serve others.
Today, Minori’s calling is to create spaces where people can be heard, seen, and embraced as they truly are. Through skateboarding, he builds relationships, shares life, and reflects God’s light in everyday places — proving that faith and purpose can move quietly through both the streets and the skies.
