The House Party is a gathering of Jesus followers, who live, work or have a heart for those of us in the margins.

House Party retreat gathering

We seek to embody the Good News in innovative and creative ways. This weekend provides an inclusive space for those who often find themselves on the edge of existing structures and regularly under the radar.

Throughout the weekend, we create space to share stories, play with new ideas, learn from one another, and offer solidarity. We hope this will be a time to rest, connect, and reflect. Nature, shared meals, time for solitude, etc., are loosely planned for the weekend.

Located a three minute walk from the beach in Cannon Beach, Oregon, The House Party is located in a large five bedroom house for the weekend in shared accommodation (maximum two per room).

Nearby are a number of coffeeshops, brewhouses and stores as well.

This year’s House Party is taking place November 15-17 2024. Our guiding theme for the weekend will be Celebrating What Brings Us Joy.

The cost is $180 per person for the person which includes meals, shared accommodation, bedding, pillows and towels.

In order to keep costs low, part of our time together will involve preparing meals together. We will be collecting dietary requests closer to the weekend.

What Participants Have Said…

I had a wonderful time getting away at the House Party with lovely and intentional folks who know how to hold the tension of care and joy while inviting vulnerability and authenticity. The food blew me away.

House Party was the weekend my soul needed. When I arrived, I walked into a room of friends I hadn't met yet. The weekend was consciously coordinated and mindful of the need for rest, restoration, and authentic connection for Christian leaders. The facilitators did an amazing job-- 12 out of 10!

The 2023 House Party was amazing! It was such a gift to be with friends and make new friends at such a pretty place in nature. What really stands out to me is the quality of opportunity to listen to God, others and myself and be heard by others. To have a safe place to process where I have been, where I am and where I am going and where I want to be was really precious, encouraging and helpful. I felt seen by others! I felt heard by others! I felt loved by others! And the food... it was SO delicious, thoughtfully prepared and fun to make with others! And I was able to use some of my gifts, those that give me life, to serve others... so that made it extra special, too!

It was a sweet and refreshing time to relax and hang out with peers who are doing faith community in new ways. It was spiritual and inspirational. The only glitch: it was too short!

Great wisdom was carried and held by three facilitors while wrapping us in time and space for our own reflection and fun. I left the House Party having sense a deep belonging and new friends. I was well fed spiritually and physically.
