What happens when creativity meets compassion?

In this special conversation, I sit down with my daughter Gwen to talk about a project she and her Girl Scout troop took on: knitting blankets for people experiencing homelessness. What began as a small idea quickly became a meaningful way to offer warmth, dignity, and human connection. We explore what inspired the project, what the girls learned along the way, and how simple acts of kindness can ripple further than we imagine.

Gwen’s Bio

Gwen is a proud member of her local Girl Scout troop and a creative young changemaker. She recently led a project with her troop to knit blankets for people experiencing homelessness, combining compassion, craft, and community impact. When she’s not knitting, she loves writing, making art, listening to music, playing drums and hanging out with her friends. Her heart for others and willingness to take action remind us that anyone, at any age, can make a difference.
